Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Tests of missiles “capable of reaching Moscow” failed twice in the United States

In the United States, a prototype of the AGM-183A Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) hypersonic missile was tested, but they were not successful. This is reported by the American media.

According to The Drive , the tests carried out on the B-52H Stratofortress strategic bomber in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of California, did not meet expectations, as “rocket motor did not ignite,” although “the weapon separated safely from the B-52H bomber.”

Meanwhile, the US military reports that, despite the obvious technical problems associated with the engine, when the missiles were launched, they still managed to obtain “valuable data”, because in earlier tests the prototype could not even separate from its carrier. The missile from Lockheed Martin is capable of developing hypersonic speeds – more than 15 thousand miles per hour. It is equipped with a jet engine with a controlled warhead.

Some American publications previously noted that the AGM-183A rocket, capable of moving at hypersonic speeds, allegedly can reach Beijing in half an hour, and Moscow even faster – in 20 minutes.

It was also previously reported that during tests at the US Air Force base “Edwards” in California, the American hypersonic missile AGM-183A could not start the engine.

Against the background of failures associated with testing its hypersonic missiles, the United States is calling on Russia to abandon this type of weapons, arguing that it is acting in the interests of global security.

However, the Kremlin does not agree with the US opinion, believing that new Russian developments in the field of hypersound (in particular, the successful tests of the Zircon hypersonic missile ) cannot violate parity in the sphere of strategic security. However, in the United States, they are seen as “a potentially destabilizing factor that poses a noticeable threat.”
