The web has published footage of a Russian anti-aircraft gunner shooting at a Chinese TY-300D missile from Igla-S MANPADS.

The video of the direct hit on the Web was posted by the Russian Ministry of Defense on its YouTube channel.

The shot was fired by the commander of the anti-aircraft gunners’ unit, Lieutenant Sergei Maenov, during the “Clear Sky” competition held in China as part of the International Army Games (ArMI-2021).

On the live-fire site, the officer, the only one of all the participants in the competition, struck a Chinese target missile with a direct hit, which simulated a high-speed air target at an altitude of 1.5 kilometers. It is noted that Maenov was recognized as the most accurate marksman according to the results of the “Skill” race as part of the “Clear Sky” competition.

The International Army Games are held from August 22 to September 4 in 11 countries, including Russia. The militaries from more than 40 states take part in them. In China, in particular, such competitions as “Suvorov Onslaught”, “Clear Sky” and “Safe Environment” are held.
