All crew members of the plane that crashed in Greece were killed

According to Flightradar24, the plane that crashed in Greece last night around 11 p.m., about 40 kilometers from the airport in Kavala, was a Ukrainian Antonov An-12BK flying from Nis (in Serbia) to Amman (in Jordan).

According to initial information, there were eight people on the plane and all eight passengers were killed. The Antonov An-12BK reportedly carried 12 tons of cargo.

The mayor of Kavala, Theodoros Mouriadis, called on citizens to stay away from the accident site, as there is a danger of new explosions.

Journalist Vaso Morali wrote on Facebook that the plane also broke the transmission line when it fell.

–  Around 10:50 p.m., the plane fell to the ground in flames, according to eyewitnesses, east of Nixiani and probably caught a power line during the fall. An explosion followed, a big flash was seen, and immediately afterward the electricity went out in Nikisiani, Georgiani, Agios Kristoforos, and Paleochori – wrote Morali.
