Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

there will be no peace bypassing the Ukrainians

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that without the consent of Ukrainians there can be no peace. He said this during a press conference with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio da Silva. In doing so, Scholz underscored the divergent views of the leaders of the two countries regarding large-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Scholz said Russia should withdraw its troops to begin peace talks after the Brazilian president said he had heard very little about peace in talks of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The German Chancellor is currently visiting South America. On Monday, he met the Brazilian president in the country’s capital, Brasilia.
