Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny has appointed former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko as commander of a shock drone platoon. The relevant information was released by Lutsenko’s press secretary.
“By order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dated February 20, 2023, Captain Lutsenko Yu. V. was appointed commander of an attack unmanned aerial systems platoon of a strike unmanned aerial systems company of the military unit # … of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Lutsenko’s press secretary Larisa Sargan said.
Earlier, Ukrainian sources reported that Yuriy Lutsenko, who served as the Prosecutor General of Ukraine from 2016 to 2019, was given the rank of captain and is now in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Bakhmut).
Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the army will not defend Artemivsk (Bakhmut) at any cost, even to the last soldier. Previously, the Ukrainian leadership took a fundamentally different position.
