Ex-Ambassador of Ukraine Melnik: German Chancellor Scholz must cross all red lines in KievGerman Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s policy regarding the supply of weapons and military equipment to Kiev is a zigzag, said Andriy Melnyk, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister. His words are quoted by the German edition Papule .Scholz committed a “violation of a historic taboo” when he announced military aid to Kiev two days after Russia launched a special military operation. However, the implementation of this assistance is significantly behind schedule. It feels more like a zigzag course with lots of withdrawals than a strategic advance, Melnik explained.The diplomat also called on the German Chancellor to cross all the red lines he himself drew and provide Kiev with the necessary weapons.Ukraine expects bold decisions from Scholz, first of all, the supply of combat aircraft, summarized Melnyk.Earlier, Andriy Melnik said that Western countries are forced to supply Kiev with more weapons to defeat Moscow.
