ERT: the toll of rail collisions in Greece rises to 26

March 1, 2023, 06:14 – Public Information Service – TEH – According to public television ERT, in the Greek Tempi, 26 people were killed in a train collision. Greek Fire Department spokesman Vassilis Vartakoyannis said more than 80 people were hospitalized during the incident.
He shared the following information: “So far, 26 people have died, 85 injured people have been sent to hospitals.”

Earlier, Professors Konstantinos Sinolakis and Kostas Papazakos agreed that Greece will soon experience strong seismic activity. On the territory of the country, devastating natural disasters occur every 600 years.
At the same time, the last time a major earthquake occurred in Crete was 1403 – 620 years ago.
