unsplash.comResearchers from Tohoku University have found components in samples from the asteroid Ryugu that contribute to the origin of life.In June 2018, the Japanese spacecraft Hayabusa-2 removed the particles from this space object and successfully returned them to Earth. The asteroid was located at a distance of 15 million kilometers from the planet, so any impact from terrestrial rocks was excluded.So, scientists isolated 15 amino acids from a sample weighing 30 micrograms, experts call these molecules prebiotics. In addition, several thousand combinations containing carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur have been identified. Experts have pointed out that organic materials from Ryugu may be even older than the solar system, writes planet today .
