Newsweek: Delayed deliveries will make NATO equipment useless for armed forces

March 2, 2023, 3:52 p.m. – Public Information Service – TEH – Journalist Caleb Larson, in an article for Newsweek, explained why NATO equipment, which will be transferred for use by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, will be useless for Ukraine.
Larson noted that in the United States, due to bureaucracy, ammunition supply contracts will take a long time to negotiate.

“Without ammunition, systems such as the M1 Abrams main battle tank, the Bradley tank and a number of artillery pieces in service with Ukraine are useless,” he said.
According to the author, it used to take about 200 days to conclude a contract, but now this period has increased to 400.
“The hypothetical contract, envisaged on the first day of the conflict, would probably not have been concluded yet,” he concluded.
Earlier, French politician Florian Filippo admired Hungary’s stance on NATO enlargement. Read more in the article from the public press service.
