Jay Leno reveals a “new face” after an accident

– Published on:

The comedian and former talk show host was involved in a brutal accident some time ago where he suffered burns to his face, hands and arms. He appeared on Kelly Clarkson’s talk show and showed how well the wounds on his face have healed.
“It’s a whole new face,” Jay told Kelly. “This is amazing.”
Jay was working on one of his many cars when he got gasoline in his face and caught fire.
However, he joked about the incident, saying, “I was eating a hot Doritos and when I bit into it, my face caught fire.”
However, he said on a more serious note that the accident was quite serious and that he suffered third-degree burns. However, Jay is happy that it hasn’t gotten worse and how well he has recovered, especially in his face and he goes so far as to say that it is even better than before and will now be considered as a “new face” in the comedy world for the second time.
As you can see, Jay Leno is a new man, or even better than before as he says himself.
“You would think there would be a zipper here or something, but no,” he said, gesturing to his chin.
A good friend of Jay’s was in the area when the accident happened and the friend, Dave Killackey, responded quickly.
“I said to my friend, I said – Dave, I’m on fire. And Dave says – Alright. And then I add – No Dave. I’m on fire.”
Dave then grabbed Jay, jumped on top of him, and snuffed out the fire.
Jay then had to spend 10 days in a burn unit at Los Angeles Hospital.
