Snowfall and abnormally low pressure: what will the weather be like in Saint Petersburg on March 8?

Saint Petersburg celebrates International Women’s Day with not very spring-like weather. On March 8, it will be snowy and cloudy in the city, and the atmospheric pressure will be significantly lower than normal. Mikhail Leus, the main specialist of the Phobos Center, spoke about it on his Telegram channel.

On Wednesday, the weather in St. Petersburg will be affected by a cyclone coming from the west. Clouds will fill in the sky and snow will fall, and sleet will again form on the roads.

After a night of frost in the city noticeably warmer. During the day, the air temperature will rise to zero degrees. In the Leningrad region, thermometers will show from -4 to +1 degrees.

A southeast wind will blow at a speed of 3 to 8 meters per second. Atmospheric pressure will drop to 737 mm Hg, which is well below normal.

Earlier, “MK in St. Petersburg” wrote that due to a heavy snowstorm in St. Petersburg, a “yellow” weather hazard level was announced.
