An informal meeting between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping has started in the Kremlin.

It is specified that the leaders of the two states greeted each other in a representative office in the first building of the Kremlin.

It is known that the talks will take place one-on-one, after which Putin and Jinping will continue to communicate over dinner.

The day before, it was reported that Xi Jinping had arrived on a state visit to Russia.

In Vnukovo, the president met with an orchestra and journalists, and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin Dmitry Chernyshenko arrived to meet him.

The president himself has said that China, together with Russia, stands ready to uphold international law in a world that is far from calm.
