Qatar Charity launches the 50,000 Lives Campaign to treat needy patients around the world

Qatar Charity has launched a campaign entitled /50,000 lives/, to treat 50,000 eye patients and children with cleft lip deformities around the world, at a total cost of 17 million riyals, as part of its campaign. "Ramadan effect". The campaign, which will continue until next Thursday, focuses on implementing medical camps to conduct medical examinations, cataract removal operations, and operations for children with cleft lip deformities, in addition to providing them with the necessary medicines and treatments. In this context, Qatar Charity called on philanthropists in the State of Qatar to invest in the holy month, in which wages are doubled, to support the campaign and contribute to saving the lives of poor patients and alleviating their suffering, especially in disadvantaged areas, and to provide them with the necessary support in order to reach the target number of the campaign during the week. The current one, where you can contribute and donate to the campaign through the Qatar Charity website, or through other approved collection methods. It is noteworthy that one child out of every 1,000 newborns suffers from cleft lip deformities, which is one of the most common birth defects in the world, and these children face a 15-fold increase in the death rate compared to infant deaths due to various causes. The launch of the campaign coincides with the visit of a delegation from Qatar Charity to Ghana, which includes a number of Qatar Charity officials, volunteers, donors and influencers, with the aim of standing on Qatar Charity projects in several regions, opening a number of health projects, launching campaigns for eye surgery, cataract removal and treatment of cleft lip, Living with some sick cases, as well as distributing food baskets and participating in projects "Fasting breakfast"distributing economic empowerment projects, and visiting the families of orphans sponsored by Qatar Charity within the framework of its initiative "buddies".
