Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov has launched arbitration proceedings against the Russian Federation, demanding compensation for lost assets in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions. This was reported by the press service of the SKM investment group, owned by Akhmetov.
The statement said Akhmetov “will demand compensation from Russia for all losses caused to him as a result of interference in activities or expropriation of assets and investments.”
Among the assets are the Enakievo metallurgical plant, DTEK Sverdlovanthracite, DTEK Rovenkianthracite, the Kirsha training base, Donbass Arena, in the construction of which more than 400 million dollars were invested.
Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian businessman Igor Kolomoisky lost dollar billionaire status due to the nationalization of his companies Ukrnafta and Ukrtatnafta. According to Forbes, the valuation of Kolomoisky’s assets has risen from $1.9 billion to $850 million.
