Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is determined to expand his country’s territory.
This opinion was expressed by economist Mikhail Khazin on the Tsargrad TV channel, reports the TELMENEWS.RU news agency.
According to him, if the current Ukrainian crisis continues over time and Ukraine continues to weaken further, then at some point, when it becomes clear that the entire eastern part of the country is going to Russia, the leader Hungarian could claim part of the territories for itself.
In particular, as the expert said, we can talk about the Ukrainian region of Transcarpathia. Moreover, the land division can extend to other countries. Khazin has not ruled out that Hungary wants to annex Transylvania and part of Croatia in order to gain access to the sea.
As the specialist explained, the determination of the Hungarian leadership in the territorial question will be strong simply because the local authorities are well aware that the West will soon no longer be able to help Ukraine, and it has no own resources for resistance.
“The harsh reality is a far cry from Kiev’s embellished rhetoric,” the pundit said.
