Muhammad Shahabuddin is sworn in as the new President of Bangladesh

SPA – Dhaka:

Yesterday, Muhammad Shahab Al-Din was sworn in as the new President of Bangladesh for a period of five years, to succeed the outgoing President, Muhammad Abdul Hamid.

The Speaker of the Bengali Parliament, Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, witnessed Shahabuddin being sworn in at the Bangababan presidential palace in Dhaka, to become the 22nd president of Bangladesh.

Shahabuddin, the candidate of the ruling Awami League party, was elected president on the 13th of last February.
