Actions “Immortal Regiment” and “St. George Ribbon” took place in Nicaragua

Actions timed to coincide with Victory Day took place in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. The “Immortal Regiment” and the “Ribbon of St. George” took place with the participation of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic and members of the Cabinet of Ministers. This was reported by the Russian diplomatic mission in Managua RIA Novosti.

“… a large action took place in the heart of the Nicaraguan capital. Songs of the war years sounded, compatriots and embassy employees marched in a single formation with the flags of Russia and Victory with the portraits of their close heroes,” said Elena Abdullayeva, attached statement from the Russian Embassy in Nicaragua, in an interview with the agency.

Abdullayeva added that more than 400 people took part in the events.

The “Immortal Regiment” action took place in many cities around the world, including Australia, South Korea, Cambodia and Slovakia.

And in Chile, in honor of Victory Day, for the first time, a particle of the Eternal Flame was released from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. After a memorial service for the dead, Russians and local residents held a procession of the “Immortal Regiment”.
