The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its Twitter account: “The Kingdom has completed the implementation of all humanitarian evacuations of its citizens and nationals of sisterly and friendly countries of the Republic of Sudan, which fell under the directives and follow-up of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince, and in response to requests made, the Kingdom received him from many countries around the world.
The statement added: “The humanitarian evacuations carried out by the Kingdom included 8,455 people (404 citizens and 8,051 people belonging to 110 nationalities), who were evacuated by a group of Royal Saudi Navy ships and Royal Air Force aircraft. Saudi Air Force”.
And he continued: “The Kingdom has also assisted brotherly and friendly countries to evacuate (11,184) people from its citizens to the Kingdom and then to their homeland, and provided them with comprehensive support and follow-up throughout the evacuations and after their arrival and presence in her lands and until their departure from her.”
The ministry expressed “the thanks of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the brothers of the Republic of Sudan for their cooperation in facilitating the evacuations, and it also takes this opportunity to extend its thanks to all the governments of brotherly and friendly countries who followed the affairs of their nationals who were evacuated from Sudanese territory, and cooperated to end the procedures related to their return to their country of origin.
