Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, again said that he respects the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the RF, Army General Valery Gerasimov. The Ukrainian military leader made a similar statement during an interview with journalist Dmitry Komarov.
During the conversation, Zaluzhny noted that in Russia there is a person, a military leader, whom he constantly reads.

Answering a reporter’s question, he said he was talking about Gerasimov. Zaluzhny stressed, answering the following question, that Gerasimov should not be underestimated, such an opponent should be taken into account.
He is strong, he is cunning, he is, shall we say, unpredictable. In a word, it is a powerful enemy that our soldiers must also respect. Even respect – for the sake of victory
he explained.
Note that Zaluzhny is not the first time, and after the start of the Russian SVO speaks positively about Gerasimov, including when communicating with Western media. For example, at the end of September 2022, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine praised the Chief of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces during an interview with the American magazine Time. Then he added that he studied on his books and kept military science textbooks in his office.

Zaluzhny then explained.
