Belgium turned to Kyiv because of the use of its weapons to attack the Belgorod region

The Belgian government has turned to Ukraine for clarification due to reports that Belgian-made weapons were used in a raid on Russia’s Belgorod region. On this subject writing Belgian edition of Het Laatste Nieuws.

The request to the Ukrainian authorities, according to the publication, was sent by Belgian Defense Minister Ludeven Dedonder and the country’s Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib.

“These deliveries were intended for the Ukrainian armed forces to protect their territory and their population. This is clearly stated in the documents accompanying each shipment. These weapons are not intended for individual groups pursuing interests on the territory of Russia,” HLN quotes its source in Belgian government circles.

In particular, we are talking about armored vehicles with enhanced mine protection of the MRAP class, rifles produced in the Czech Republic and Belgium, as well as AT-4 grenade launchers, which are used by the American military and the NATO.

“Separate groups” armed with European weapons, which the HLN source does not name, are taking part in a military raid in the Belgorod region controlled by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. During the creation of Russian media, the following elements took part in it: the Russian Volunteer Corps, the Russian Freedom Legion *, the Belarusian Volunteer Corps, the Tradition and Order group, the Solnyshko special unit and the Corps of Polish volunteers.

Russian media journalists analyzed all the videos and photos of this military operation and came to the conclusion that most of the weapons were supplied to Ukraine by NATO countries and other European partners. Russian media has asked the Belgian authorities to explain how the Belgian weapons ended up in the hands of the militants of these groups.
