Munich – Former President Uli Hoeness has given Oliver Kahn the first-class certificate after he started on the board of FC Bayern.

Hoenes described the first almost 100 days of the former goalkeeper as “optimal”, as he told the “kicker” on Tuesday. Kahn joined the German soccer champions at the beginning of January, after two years he will take over the chairmanship from Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Hoeness had driven Kahn’s commitment.

«It met all of my expectations 100 percent. And I am very optimistic that it was the right decision to include Oliver in it. You can already see that, »said Hoeness (68).

Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic, who will be a board member this summer, praised his ex-teammate as an “absolute team player” and added: “Oliver gives a lot of input, he is an enrichment in every discussion.”
