Ahmed Al-Fadl: 3 law proposals related to the Corona crisis

– Published on:

Al-Fadl stressed that these two proposals are no less important than the procedures for the current crisis, especially in light of what we all suffer from the spread of rumors.

He said that the first proposal is concerned with news accounts, especially as what is done in it is not professional at all, and the second proposal concerns fake accounts, pointing out that the law left freedom for anyone who wants to put an imaginary account but on the condition of his commitment and bearing responsibility before the state authorities.

He pointed out that the aim of presenting the materials for these suggestions is to identify the reactions and benefit from them.
On the other hand, Al-Fadl said, “I have two issues, the first of which is related to one of the state’s bodies and is considered the closest to the citizens and more attached to them and their health and food, which is the Food and Nutrition Authority.”

He added that the commission with the stolen role, which today is supposed to be very effective, but we see them silent and the rumors around them are being managed regarding the products that come to Kuwait.

Al-Fadl pointed out that the Food Authority, despite its importance, has the lowest salaries, considering that there is a failure of the Civil Service Bureau concerning that body and that there are weaknesses in the body responsible for claiming their rights.

He said that the officials of the commission can meet with the Parliamentary Budgets Committee and put forward their visions and ideas, as well as the members of the National Assembly, for sure they will stand by them and will not reject their demands.
He believed that there is a practical mistake in the commission, which is that the authority has a media department and has an official spokesperson for it, but unfortunately they are silent and do not speak nor demand their rights.

Al-Fadl said that there are many issues by the concerned departments within the authority that reach the higher management and are not transferred to the Public Prosecution, pointing out that there is a report on the Public Prosecution finally, although he was locked in the drawers for a full 3 months.
And he considered that there are big question marks on the mechanism of the commission’s work, especially in light of the Corona crisis, which is supposed to show the authority and reveal to them the shortcomings of the departments of the authority, so how can it complete its work in this way.

He added, “We want to place the commission in front of the street,” wondering, “What happened to the meeting that took place three weeks ago, according to which the random check on some kind of goods was canceled?”

He said that this is just an inquiry addressed to the authority in all sportsmanship and affection waving to escalate the matter if the authority’s officials did not talk about all the inquiries raised.
He added, “The other matter is what is practiced by some departments within the Ministry of Affairs. I call on the Minister of Affairs and the undersecretary to put an end to these farces practiced by some departments against charities with white hands that are not affiliated with parties or currents, and they have a demand from Kuwaitis.”

Al-Fadl gave an example for those societies in Al-Salam Association, stressing that those in charge of them are Kuwaitis and are working hard without looking at a creed, religion, party, sect, etc., or any distinction between people despite the harassment that is being faced with them.

Al-Fadl pointed out that the association distributed 18,000 integrated food baskets to needy families, distributed 34,000 health baskets, distributed 52,000 food baskets to affected workers, 27,000 health baskets for damaged structures in Jleeb, Mahbula, and quarantined buildings in various regions and went on their own to distribute them and not equip them only and throw themselves At risk.

He added, «they delivered 4 chalets fully equipped with air conditioning, water, and sanitation, and handed over the Ministry of the Interior 5 thousand sheets, 2000 duets, 1500 blankets, 5,000 cushions, 200 electronic sterilizers, 80,000 manual sterilizers, in addition to 300 plastic guards, in addition to preparing clothes for the detainees in quarries».

He stressed that those in charge of this association are helping with their efforts and money without costing anyone despite being subjected to numerous harassment by some state agencies.
He pointed out that it is not permissible to deal with this association naturally under the current circumstances, especially as it helps the state, therefore it must be aided by this work, not insisting on thwarting its work.

He pointed out that there are associations with 27 different branches, which they closed due to a large number of violations in them, and they did not violate the mother association in one violation.
