Traditionally, most of the arrests took place in the capital. Also, people were seized on the streets of Brest, Vitebsk, Mogilev, Grodno, Molodechno, Zhlobin, Kobrin and Bobruisk.

The detentions were accompanied by beatings, the police used truncheons, stun grenades, water cannons. In several places, the use of firearms was recorded: the security forces fired into the air and towards the protesters. There have been no reports of gunshot wounds so far.

At least 18 people were hospitalized after “talking” with riot police.

September 23, the Belarusian dictator “inauguration” ceremonies took the oath of “president” of Belarus, which he declared himself to be with the help of the controlled Central Election Commission. Ukraine, the USA, and the European Union refused to recognize Lukashenko as the legitimate president of Belarus and imposed sanctions against officials of his regime.

Alexandra Lukashenko congratulated on victory only the leaders of Russia , China, Moldova, and Armenia.

The Verkhovna Rada recognized the elections in Belarus as rigged and supported the imposition of sanctions on the officials of the Lukashenka regime.
