The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) announced via Twitter that there was a new, third incident of a Russian military plane passing through the Alaska air defense identification zone.
Earlier, CNN reported on two incidents. By the way, the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) is an international airspace adjacent to Alaska that in some places extends more than 160 kilometers from the territory of the United States of America .
On two separate occasions, over the past 2 days, the Alaskan NORAD Region detected, tracked and identified Russian surveillance aircraft entering and operating within the Alaskan ADIZ. The Russian aircraft did not enter American or Canadian sovereign airspace. #WeHaveTheWatch
