The goals of the Education Above All Foundation – which is one of the largest international institutions in the field of development and education – coincide with the objectives of the Education Above All Foundation "Doha Work Program for the Decade (2022-2031) in Development", which was adopted by the United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries, and endorsed by the United Nations General Assembly last April, and called on all relevant stakeholders to commit to its implementation, by playing an active role in more than 60 countries in various regions of the world in order to build a global movement that contributes to human and social development and economy through quality education and welfare programmes. Talal Al-Hathlal, Director of the Fakhoura Program of the Education Above All Foundation, confirmed in exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the Foundation focuses its work on poor areas, areas of conflict and disasters, meets the needs of children and women, and helps them to be active members in their societies. And provide them with tools that help support sustainable development and create an environment of peace, security, justice and prosperity. Al-Hathal said: The Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries – which will be held in Doha during the period from 5 to 9 March under the slogan “From Potential to Prosperity” – focuses on investing in people, eradicating poverty, building capacities, and harnessing the power of science, technology and innovation. And supporting structural transformation as an engine for achieving prosperity, the Education Above All Foundation is active in poor and geographically remote areas where infrastructure is absent, and dropouts from education and those exposed to violence are frequent, noting that the number of beneficiaries from the Foundation’s activities has reached more than 15 million children who are not enrolled in schools. , with a value of 2.6 billion US dollars. He noted that the Education Above All Foundation operates in 35 least developed countries, with more than 8.3 million out-of-school children directly benefiting from the Foundation’s programs worth $1.4 billion, with major support from the Qatar Fund for Development, other development funds, and international development banks. and international and non-profit organizations, pointing out that the Foundation intensifies scholarships and in-kind support for children deprived of schools, and supports livelihoods for families, relying on intensive, flexible and comprehensive education, building and renovating schools, and preparing them to be more suitable for both sexes and children, while providing educational supplies, building Capacity of teachers, school administrators, and local educational agencies, and addressing problems facing ethnic minorities and children with disabilities. The director of the Fakhoura Program of the Education Above All Foundation stated that the Foundation works with more than 80 partners through five programs: "Protecting education in conditions of conflict and insecurity, and good hands towards Asia "rota"teach a kid, proud, gip". And about a program "proud", which was launched in 2009 at Al-Fakhoura School in the northern Gaza Strip, Mr. Talal Al-Hathal said: The program cooperates with relevant international organizations, making it a machine for education and reconstruction in many countries of the world, as it provided thousands of scholarships to refugees and displaced persons to complete their higher education, as The number of beneficiaries from different countries of the world has reached more than 10,000 scholarships in local and international universities. Regarding the program "Teach a child"He explained that the program is a success story and a unique partnership between the Foundation and the United Nations, which was launched in 2012 with the aim of reducing the number of children deprived of basic education in various parts of the world, so that within ten years the program would support more than 15 million children around the world, which made it contribute to Bringing about radical and tangible changes that benefit societies and lay the foundations for a more sustainable world in the lives of children whose conditions prevented them from enrolling in primary education, through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions, and removing obstacles that impede their access to quality education. In addition to providing the most basic needs of students, such as integrated immunization programmes, providing meals, water and others, in partnership with the Global Alliance for Vaccines and the Food Security Program. The director of the Al-Fakhoora Program of the Education Above All Foundation indicated that the Foundation’s support is not limited to refugees and immigrants abroad, but rather the Foundation works at home to ensure that all children residing inside the State of Qatar have access to fair education opportunities, through a project "together" Launched by the Foundation, the project works in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and in partnership with local supporters. The Foundation also established, through the Global Innovation Development Program, the academic bridge to build practical skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic in more than eight languages ​​from the age of 4-17 years who are not enrolled in schools, as the design of the program is based on the idea of ​​self-learning, and this bridge qualifies children to complete Their basic or vocational education in order to become productive and effective individuals, capable of making a positive change in their society, and the number of beneficiaries of the free electronic educational resources bank has reached more than 800,000 beneficiaries, and it has been downloaded from 150 countries around the world. The Education Above All Foundation aims, through its various programs and various initiatives, to enhance the capabilities of youth, prepare for humanitarian crises, confront them and recover from them, and make them more capable of effective participation and positive contribution in their local communities, by organizing training programs to improve the ability of youth in humanitarian work and peacebuilding. , teaching global citizenship, integrating them into activities and campaigns, and holding meetings for young leaders with decision-makers and stakeholders and their peers in other countries, to exchange experiences and discover new paths of support. Since its inception in 2012, the Foundation has provided quality education to millions of children in various parts of the world. It has also pledged, with its partners, to enroll millions of marginalized people in schools, most of them in poor countries and conflict zones. It has also been able to implement its plans through a multisectoral approach and unique financing models, with a focus on innovation. As a tool for social good and effective partnerships, there are over 2,000 education facilities funded by the Education Above All Foundation, and over 50 projects currently active in more than 45 countries around the world.
