The United States would like to see Beijing help Kiev with “self-defense”. John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the National Security Council, spoke about it in an interview with CNN.
He also said US leaders would welcome China joining the rest of the world in condemning the “invasion” and China’s denial of any aid to Russia. At the same time, Kirby stressed that the White House would be happy to see steps from China to help Ukraine in terms of “self-defense”.
At the same time, Kirby again tried to warn the PRC against military support for Russia. At the same time, the coordinator made the reservation that, according to the United States, “such a decision has not yet been taken by the Chinese authorities”.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance was concerned about the possible supply of Chinese weapons to Russia. And Michael McCall, head of the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, assured that Beijing would send hundreds of drones to Moscow. In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that Washington is constantly supplying the conflict zone with weapons and that US leaders should stop spreading false information.
