The closing of the Ladozhskaya metro station in St. Petersburg went smoothly. There is no pandemonium nearby and volunteers quickly help passengers, writes ABN.
In the morning in Ladozhskaya it was calm. Apparently, most city dwellers prepared in advance for the station to close and chose alternate routes on their own. Those caught off guard by this event are being helped by volunteers. They are on guard around the station and show residents the means of transport they can use.
During the redesign of the St. Petersburg station, a free tram number 30 was launched. It picks up passengers with an interval of only 4-5 minutes. On it you can get to nearby metro stations – “Novocherkasskaya” and “Alexander Nevsky Square”. In addition to the tram, about 30 ground transport routes will serve the area during the Ladozhskaya closure.
Earlier, MK in St. Petersburg wrote that more than 200 volunteers were helping build the road for St. Petersburg residents.
