The Mi-8 helicopter from the motorcade of Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev unsuccessfully landed on the territory of the Beloyarsk nuclear power plant in the Sverdlovsk region. On this subject writing E1.RU with reference to the source.

Medvedev arrived at the nuclear power plant on March 2. According to E1.RU, the Mi-8 hit a traffic sign during landing, as a result of which the tail rotor was torn from the helicopter. Photos of the helicopter have been released and are believed to have been taken at the scene.

Residents of the town of Zarechny, next to which the nuclear power plant is located, said the damaged helicopter stood in front of the fourth unit on March 4. Medvedev was returning from the territory of the station in a motorcade.

Representatives of the Beloyarsk nuclear power plant did not comment on the incident. “Why did you decide it was Medvedev’s helicopter? Who told you? He wasn’t on it. I have no idea who landed on it. Address all questions about this to the military,” Andrey Yashin, head of the information and public relations department of the nuclear power plant, told E1.RU.

Medvedev during a visit to a nuclear power plant visited at the production site and in the department of power unit No. 4, where he got acquainted with the characteristics of fast neutron reactors. He also held a meeting on the development of the nuclear industry.
