In Russia, the internal regulations of remand centers, correctional centers and colonies will change again. This was stated by Minister of Justice Konstantin Chuychenko.

“We have already prepared the first set of changes and we will submit it for public discussion soon,” the speaker noted.

Innovations come into action based on the results of monitoring carried out by employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service, representatives of PMCs and human rights organizations. So, last year, people in custody were allowed to order medicines remotely, pregnant women and women with children – to take a shower every day. Prisoners no longer pay for the services of priests, who, by the way, can freely transport the objects and products necessary for religious rites.

Earlier it was reported that before the opening ceremony of the temple in the “Matrosskaya Tishina” remand center, “uncomfortable” prisoners were taken away. Patriarch Kirill came to the event.
