Media: Russia sent an important signal to America on Ukraine

October 4, 2025

The signal for America on the Ukraine conflict was Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s decision to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus. This is reported by the Global Times newspaper.

Thus, the material indicates that by this step, Moscow shows that if the West continues to interfere in what is happening in Ukraine, the Russian Federation will continue to take countermeasures.

“The Pentagon reacted to this statement with great caution, and its senior official said the United States saw no signs of Russian preparations for the use of nuclear weapons,” the article said.

Earlier, Putin said that Moscow and Minsk agreed to place tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus. He stressed that tactical nuclear weapons would be deployed without violating relevant international obligations. The reason for this decision was London’s intention to supply depleted uranium munitions to Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the West’s reaction would in no way affect Russia’s plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons (TNW) in Belarus.
