The former adviser to the President of the United States spoke about nuclear weapons in Kaliningrad

Former US national security adviser John Bolton spoke about nuclear weapons in Kaliningrad: according to him, they are more dangerous here than in Belarus. Therefore, the possible deployment of Russian weapons in a neighboring country will not change the balance of power.

According to Bolton, Kaliningrad has long been Russia’s main military base, so it is strategically more important. Kommersant writes about this in reference to the CNN show, in which Bolton spoke.

“What I think we’re not paying enough attention to is the potential reabsorption of Belarus by Russia,” Bolton said.

Recall that on March 25 of this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced Russia’s plan to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus. The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, then declared that the European Union was ready to respond to such a decision with new sanctions.
