Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said European Union states were ready to discuss the issue of sending “troops of some type of peacekeeping” to Ukraine. The politician also recalled that the disputes over sending lethal weapons to Kiev lasted a year ago, but now the question of military support for Ukraine arises differently.
“We are close to the fact that in the conversations of European leaders, the question of whether EU member states can send troops of some kind of peacekeeping in any form, or better not to send, has become legitimate and accepted,” Kossuth radio said. quoted Orban as saying.
Previously, the European Union had transferred 1.5 billion euros of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.
