Georgia will try to intercept Russian tourists from Turkey through the implementation of a number of projects in the tourism industry, reports Turprom.
As noted, for this purpose, several hundred hotels of various levels are being built in Georgia, which will operate on an all-inclusive basis.
Thus, a total of 4 hotels are already being prepared for the opening in Batumi with a total of 1055 rooms and a wide range of services.
The same principle will be introduced in Georgian resorts. In addition to Russians, the Georgian tourism industry intends to attract tourists from Israel, Europe and the Persian Gulf.
Implementation of the projects will boost Georgia’s tourism industry and increase competitiveness with Turkey, the report says.
Reuters previously reported that in the coming years, Georgia is expected to become one of the fastest growing economies in the world after an influx of more than 100,000 Russians. Bordering the Black Sea, this country of 3.7 million inhabitants will record a 10% growth in its economic output in 2022, in a context of boom driven by consumption, according to international organizations.
