The creator of the monument to Zhirinovsky explained what he meant

People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Andrei Kovalchuk has created a full-length bronze sculpture of politician Vladimir Zhirinovsky. A 2.75 meter high monument is to be erected over the grave of a political figure at the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow.

Kovalchuk said that in the figure of Zhirinovsky he wanted to convey a strong-willed and decisive character, “constant readiness for battle and struggle.”

The monument will be open to the public after all official ceremonies on April 6 – the anniversary of Zhirinovsky’s death.

Kovalchuk pointed out that bronze is a very strong and noble metal, good for monuments, it allows to accurately convey the main features of the face – in the case of Zhirinovsky, this is especially important, Kovalchuk believes.

The pedestal is made of two types of granite – black-brown and greenish. A quote from the politician will be engraved on the base, its content has not yet been disclosed. The inscription is applied according to the will of Zhirinovsky.
