You can expect to laugh but also to cry in front of the first Danish film that Viaplay will present tomorrow, Wednesday April 5, entitled CAMINO.

How would you react if you had to walk 160 miles with your annoying dad? The answer to this question can be found in Viaplay’s first Danish film, CAMINO, written and directed by Birgitte Stærmose. CAMINO, or Jacob’s Way as we Icelanders like to call it, will premiere on April 5. This is a comedy drama film about the complex relationship between father and daughter, a relationship that is truly tested when they decide to fulfill their mother’s dying wish. that they travel together the Way of Saint James under the burning sun of Spain. Dyslexic and Raised in an Educational Home CAMINO is an honest but sometimes difficult story about Regitze (Danica Curcic), a woman in her thirties. She is unemployed, has no boyfriend or children. She is dyslexic, grew up in an educational home, but never felt accepted for who she is. When his mother dies, Regitze finds himself in a whole new life. She’s pregnant, and it makes her think about the future in a new way. At the same time, she struggles with her relationship with her father (Lars Brygmann), whom she hasn’t spoken to in a long time.

CAMINO is Viaplay Group’s first Danish film. The director, Birgitte Stærmose, has several well-known Danish films behind her and has built an impressive international career in recent years (Industry/HBO, The English Game/Netflix). The screenplay for the film is written by Birgitte Stærmose and Kim Fupz Aakeson (The One and Only, /Utmak/HB).
