Russian President Vladimir Putin was surprised by information from acting LPR chief Leonid Pasechnik. The politician informed the president about heavy snowfall in the Donbass, reports The Eastern Herald.

Heavy snowfall in the area caused breaks in many power lines, Pasechnik said. President Putin was surprised by the words of the acting head of the LPR, having heard of snowdrifts up to one and a half meters high.

Large amounts of snow reportedly toppled trees and collapsed roofs in some areas. According to the Russian president, such a weather anomaly has not been observed in the NRL for a long time, which Pasechnik agreed with. Indeed, such weather conditions in such a southern region are not characteristic for this time of year.

Earlier, Putin reported on the execution of 14 Ukrainian soldiers who surrendered by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Russian fighters who took their “colleagues” out of the special operation zone also suffered from the incident.
