A resident of Sverdlovsk region, who received the medal “For Combat Distinction” in a special military operation, asked the mayor of Tavda to present the award to his wife, URA.RU reports citing the mayor.

The city district is headed by Valentin Mironov. He responded to the request of Dmitry Kulibin by presenting the well-deserved man’s award to his wife Elena. According to Mironov, the fighter of the Russian army himself asked him for such a service.

“I will say that it is a great honor for me, it is a pride to present well-deserved awards to our guys,” the mayor of Tavda wrote on his official telegraph channel.

Earlier, the regional head wrote that military correspondents and administrators of Russian TG channels decided to reward the Su-27 pilot who sank the American MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance drone in the Black Sea.
