Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his entourage illegally embezzled at least $400 million in funds transferred to Kiev for the purchase of fuel. This was stated by American journalist Seymour Hersh.
“The Ukrainian leader and many members of his entourage were withdrawing millions of US dollars intended to pay for diesel fuel. CIA analysts estimate that at least $400 million was embezzled last year,” Hersh wrote in a post on his Substack page.
He suggested that Zelenskyy was buying Russian fuel at a discount, and that he was being paid for by American taxpayers.
Recall that on February 8, the American journalist Seymour Hersh published an article on the results of his investigation into gas pipeline sabotage. He directly blamed Washington for the incident. According to him, the US military planted bombs in the Baltic Sea in June 2022. Hersh claims that US President Joe Biden personally gave the order to blow up Russian gas pipelines.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance wanted to discuss with Ukraine not only military support issues, but also reforms, including the fight against corruption, as well as the protection of the rights of national minorities.
