The ex-head of the Privolzhsky district of Astrakhan was sentenced to 7 years in prison

The former head of the municipal district of the Astrakhan region was found guilty of abuse of power.

It was established that the Astrakhan, holding the post of head of the Privolzhsky district, from December 2017 to February 2021, issued orders that he was illegally included in the number of bonuses.

Thus, bonuses totaling more than 560,000 rubles were illegally acquired from the person involved in the case, the press service of the ICR’s investigative committee for the region reported.

The official’s criminal activities were stopped by employees of the regional investigative committee, UEB and PC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Astrakhan region.

In addition, the convicted person had already been convicted of illegal participation in commercial activities and fraud. For these crimes, the court sentenced him to 6 years in prison.

Now his term has been extended. In total, the ex-head of the Privolzhsky district was sentenced to 7 years in prison. He will serve him in a general regime colony.

Also, the citizen of Astrakhan was deprived of the right to hold certain positions for a period of 3 years and fined 800,000 rubles.
