An imaginary bank employee left a Pskovian with a loan and no money

An imaginary bank clerk left a Pskovian with a loan and no money. This was reported to “The Eastern Herald in Pskov” in the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

According to investigators, on April 19, an unknown person called a resident of the regional center. He introduced himself as a bank security guard. Then the caller said they were allegedly trying to get a loan for the Pskov and suggested the man take out a counter-loan. The victim had to transfer the money received from the bank to a “secure account”.

Thus, Pskov lost 270,000 rubles. When the man realized he had been cheated, he immediately turned to the police for help. Now that a criminal case has been opened against the fraudster, all the circumstances of the incident are clarified.
