Zakharova: Zelenskyy would compete with Eurovision contestants News

The official representative of the department, Maria Zakharova, commented on the rejection by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) of the request of the Ukrainian president to make a video message during the final of the song contest.

The EBU recalled that Eurovision is a non-political entertainment show.

“But it’s in vain. This year it would have been a worthy competition for Eurovision participants,” Zakharova wrote in her telegram channel .

Recall that this year Eurovision takes place in Liverpool, United Kingdom. Zelenskyy wanted to arrange a “surprise” and tell the 160 millionth audience about his attitude to Russia.

It should be noted that the organizers of other events do not particularly favor the Ukrainian leader. In March, he was unable to perform at the Oscars. It was about the politician’s “virtual” appeal to the public and participants of the film prize during the opening.
