Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The President of Belarus criticized the state of health facilities

Speaking on May 23 during a meeting with the leaders of sectoral health structures, Alexander Lukashenko was indignant that there are still examples in the country’s medical institutions where “walls and ceilings are destroyed, pleated doors, basic sanitary rules are not respected”.

Addressing those in white coats, he reminded that “every healthcare facility should be a model of sanitation. And it happens even in pediatric wards. Listen, but there are children there! Or Aren’t they your children? Of course, they are not your children. My children,” Lukashenko harshly formulated his attitude to the current situation.

A special emphasis for the meeting was laid by the president with regard to the district medical centers. He demanded that responsible people improve the quality and accessibility of medical care in the countryside. “I will never forgive you for the village. Never! Remember that. First, governors. I will rip your skin off, but you will restore order there!” – the Belarusian leader warned the regional authorities.
