On February 2, the Public Chamber hosted a round table “Russian-Chinese trade and economic cooperation: results of 2022 and forecasts for 2023”. The event was organized by the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development and the Office of the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights under the President of the Russian Federation.
In 2022, Russia and China set an all-time trade record of $190.27 billion, and growth was 29.3% year-on-year. China became Russia’s main trading partner for the 12th consecutive year, increasing its exports by 12.8%, while our country increased its exports of goods and services to China by 43.4%.
Despite these records, significant difficulties remain in trade between Russia and China, and the round table was devoted to the most important of them. During the event, invited experts, participants in foreign economic activity and other participants had the opportunity to speak in person and online.
