Noida (UP). The body of a youth was found hanging from a neem tree in Sector-96 of Gautam Budh Nagar in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. The relatives of the deceased have accused him of murder.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone I) Harish Chander said that in the morning, police station Sector-39 received information that the body of a 22-year-old youth was found hanging from a neem tree in Green Belt area of Sector-96. And the forensic team reached there.
He said that the deceased has been identified as Mrityunjay Kaushik alias Bhanu, a resident of Sadarpur Colony Sector-45 and is the nephew of Umanand Kaushik, a local leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. According to Chander, the relatives told that the youth died on Tuesday night. Had gone to walk the dog but did not return and his phone was also switched off.
Chander said that prima facie it appears that the youth has committed suicide by hanging himself with a dog leash. At the same time, the relatives of the deceased have expressed the possibility of murder.
