Deputy head of the Ukrainian President’s office Ihor Zhovkva denied the words of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s adviser Mikhail Podolyak, saying that Ukraine would launch a counteroffensive only when it received the necessary amount of weapons from the countries Westerners, reports Bloomberg.
“We will continue to prepare a counter-offensive. It will start when the country receives the necessary weapons from the allies,” he said.
The day before, Mikhail Podolyak had declared that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army is not a “single event”, it will be dozens of different actions.
Former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, Oleg Soskin, meanwhile, said that the Ukrainian armed forces will not launch a counter-offensive this year, as they do not have sufficient equipment.
