Russian Ambassador Kelin says Russia is ready for peace, but the West is escalating the conflict

Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrei Kelin said Russia has not yet started serious hostilities in a special military operation. Kelin added that the country is ready for peace talks, but the West is extending the conflict.

“How long the conflict in Ukraine lasts depends on the efforts of NATO countries, particularly the UK, to escalate it…Sooner or later, of course, this escalation could take on a new dimension that we don’t know about.” “we don’t need and we don’t want. We can make peace tomorrow,” Kelin told the BBC.

Speaking about the frivolity of this conflict, the ambassador mentioned the size of Russian territory and the amount of resources inside the country: the Russian Federation is 16 times larger than Ukraine and has colossal reserves.


Earlier, Andrei Kelin spoke about the British authorities’ plans to confiscate Russia’s frozen assets. Specifically for this, they can create a legislative framework.
