Sudanese military general Al-Burhan’s son dies in Türkiye

– Published on:

Muhammad Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, son of the Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army in Turkey, died as a result of serious injuries he sustained in a traffic accident early last April.

On April 6, Muhammad Al-Burhan collided with a commercial vehicle when he was riding a motorcycle on a street in the capital, Ankara.

He was then transferred to Bilkent Hospital in the Turkish capital.

Despite the medical interventions he underwent during the past weeks in intensive care, he died due to the serious injuries he was suffering from, according to the Habertürk website.

The website said on Friday that the Turkish side conveyed the news of Muhammad al-Burhan’s death to his father, Abdel Fattah, and to his family.

Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan has three children, two boys and a girl, the eldest of whom studied at the University of Khartoum, according to Sudanese media.

Al-Burhan has been waging a conflict for months with the commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, who called “Hemedti”.
