The International Monetary Fund and Kiev have reached an agreement on a four-year loan program worth $15.6 billion. This is stated in the IMF statement.

It should be noted that the board of directors of the fund must approve the decision, in the coming weeks it will announce its position.

In February this year, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said authorities in Kiev expected to receive the first tranche from the IMF in the first or second quarter of 2023.

Earlier it became known that the European Union had transferred another financial tranche of 1.5 billion euros to the official city of Kiev, within the framework of the macro-financial assistance program for Ukraine, the head said. of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
