The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution that prohibits civil servants from traveling abroad during the war without a valid reason. About that informed Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in his telegram channel.
“People’s deputies, civil servants, representatives of local authorities, prosecutors, judges and many other civil servants can cross the state border on the basis of a business trip. It is possible to go abroad for negotiations, for care, to take care of minor children. Ride on vacation – no,” the message read.
On January 23, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree according to which civil servants can only travel outside Ukraine on business trips. Soon became known about a trip to Thailand of People’s Deputy Nikolai Tishchenko – where he planned to hold a meeting with the Ukrainian community. Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk said he did not send Tishchenko abroad and did not sign an order for a business trip to Thailand. As a result, the official was expelled from the Servant of the People party.
