VK: Putin invaded Ukraine on the pretext that there were Nazis there. What do you think about it?

It’s time for all of us to wake up! We cannot allow another little man with a Napoleonic complex to spread hatred. Hatred knows no boundaries, it doesn’t care what color your skin is, whether or not you have a yarmulke on your head. The Holocaust is not the exclusive property of the Jews. My mother was 14 when she ended up in a concentration camp in Nazi Germany. Half of the Jewish women and children were burned in the camps of Nazi Germany. But not enough is said about the fact that 2 million Catholics were also killed, as were 2 million gypsies. Homosexuals and people belonging to “undesirable groups” were also killed. Millions of Christians have been killed. 20 million Russians died in World War II. 20 millions! The history of the Holocaust is therefore not only Jewish history. We cannot let this happen again.
African Americans also had the Holocaust, and Armenians too… And I say this despite the fact that my mother was in a concentration camp, our whole family was killed in the Holocaust. But if you just say, “Oh, look what happened to me and my people,” what about black people and Hispanics? The same thing happened and is happening to them now – it’s called racism. The message needs to be out there so people can hear it – because they hear what’s relevant to them personally.
Hate is like wildfire: it always starts with a small spark. People will gather, someone will make a racist joke: about black people, about Jews, or whatever… People will laugh and the joker won’t stop… And it will get bigger and bigger. .. And when officials in governments become the instigators of this hatred – that’s when and there will be Holocausts! Hitler was a failed artist. But hatred grew and grew – and became the leader of the country. Without him, the Holocaust would not have been possible.
VK: Do you think the UN can effectively stop and prevent such holocausts?
DS: The UN is ineffective. Because there are bad people who can interfere with everything. Your people.
VK: Please don’t call them “my people”.
DS (smiling): Sometimes it’s Chinese, sometimes North Korean, etc. But talking about it is better than doing nothing.
